Araucaria mirabilis cones come in a range of sizes. The specimen on the left is unusually large at 11 cm long by 8 cm wide. The small specimen on the right is a small immature cone and measures 4.5 cm long by 3.5 cm wide. Below the same specimens are compared to Pararaucaria patagonica cones.
P. patagonica on the left is 4.3 cm long by 2 cm wide.
P. patagonica on the right is 7.2 cm long by 1.7 cm wide.
